Family and friends often tell me about their ailments, physical, mental, life, etc. For my zen yogis, this may happen to you too. It is important; however, not to become frustrated with people if they don't want your advice. Actually, I think it is best not to even offer unsolicited advice. Think about how you feel when someone gives you advice that you didn't ask for. This is a good way to practice the art of detachment. Other people's problems, no matter how much you love them, are not your problems. It is important to remember that and to let go of any stress other peoples problems may cause you. If this is hard for you try meditating on letting go, focus on your breathing and repeat the mantra "all is well" until you feel your own inner peace.
